Transforming a house into a home
A beautiful property does not make a home. The architectural detailing may be there, the layout may be spacious and cleverly thought through, but the essence of what transforms a house into a home is a feeling. And generating that feeling was of upmost importance to our client.
We begun our process by evaluating what already existed that could be enhanced and what needed to be added. The panelling to the hallway, the flooring and the doorsets were all in fantastic condition and of great quality. Removing these would have been wasteful and unnecessary. So we added detail, texture and lighting which created a beautiful scheme but also enhanced the existing pieces.
A sophisticated, neutral palette of taupe paint finishes, textured wallcoverings, black detailing and pops of colour created a serenity to the space but also a slice of contrast and drama that created a stunning and glamorous interior.
