Press Play

One of Teesside’s most recognisable company’s – Wander Films – relocated from serviced offices into their own ground floor unit in the heart of Middlesbrough. The objective – to capture their energy and deliver a design which matched their aspirations.

The idea was to create sections in the open plan which weren’t fully defined by walls and partitions, but through furniture, lighting and flooring details. This enabled areas of the floorplate to be defined by function and requirement.

The feature triangular flooring from Bolon strikes you as soon as you enter the property, a small nod to the ‘play’ sign within their logo. The colours are pulled from their branding and with strikes of orange within the carpet, and diagonal lines through the feature walls this is what gives the space energy.

With the windows being at the front of the property we knew the lighting would have to be good, but also form part of the feature so we used a mix of linear, triangular and circular lighting to define the spaces.
